Ricer's do indeed do that. But that's not what make's the car a ricer car.
If that were true you'd be calling the vast collective of AE86 enthusiasts ricers because we swap JDM front-ends onto our cars and leave the Trueno, or Levin, badges on them, while the rest of the car is usually cleanly done with parts that actually DO make the car go faster, in both facets of the term (Straight and cornering). IMO, there's nothing wrong with rebadging a car if said car is basically a USDM version of whatever car you're badging it too. Things that don't count? Putting the notorious GT-R or Type R emblems found in many stupid stores, on your car. THAT's ricer. Unless your car happens to be a GT-R, or Type R, and you needed a new emblem.
