yeah, i've got some replacement caps on the way. i have 3 big drawers of random capacitors for exactly this reason, but none in this size/rating of course--almost tried a 25v where this was a 35v, but not worth the risk. problem is there was a TON of smoke that came out--like a blown copper winding smoke. caps don't usually smoke when they pop in my past experience. i'm thinking something else went in the process--when it popped, the display cut off like i popped a fuse, but the normal serviceable fuse is still intact.
