The Toyota part is less than $25. By the way, since you mentioned grease being the failure originally, are you referring to the grease internally in the bearing? Or the grease that you put on the inside bore? The RM says to put grease there, just want to make sure. And should I use the grease that comes with the clutch kit or get OEM?

BTW I just picked up both OEM bearings, and waiting on a rear main seal, planning to decide on a clutch and order it soon.
this thread it 2 years old so i wouldnt expect a reply, but i might be able to help as i just went through all this on mine. the updated TOB has a white paint dot on it. it is the group consensus that the ones that come in the exedy oem kit are the old ones still, theyre supposedly updating that, but the only guarantee is to use a TOB with a white paint dot on it. i got mine from veruseng.com the grease inside the sealed TOB was the failure point, not the grease outside it where it slides on the output shaft. if you wait long enough to change the TOB, youll probably need to replace your output shaft too, but i caught mine early and my output shaft was fine. i didnt replace my pilot bearing, but did replace the clutch disc with oem 30100AA870, im not sure why would would change unless youre pushing well over 200wtq. often times people replace parts with "performance" crap and reap none of the benefits, but get to enjoy all the drawbacks, because it their daily. 200tw tires on a daily, for example.

id bet the pilot bearing in the exedy oem/stage 1 kit is fine, thats never a culprit of any trouble, just the TOB's.
