One of the things that attracted ME to the first gen was the simplicity of the body lines and the flowing classic sports car styling.
What they offer up now is a conglomeration of different styles all slapped together in a mishmash of conflicting lines and exaggerated features.
I fully appreciate that they may be "better" aerodynamically but that does not mean I have to like the appearance.
To gain a 14% increase in HP and 15% of torque to have a car I would not turn and look back at every time I walk away from it just is not a great deal for me.

Its not as clean, and I chose (pegasus white) 86 for the same reason. As a current owner of an 86 you dont need to change anyway, if you want those things the new one gives you can just put in a new header and a tube and away you go - free from emission chokes the engine feels like it should.
The new car is growing on me, I'd like to see it in more colors, I don't like it in the blue, but the silver is nice, I think a gun metal might look good with all those technical lines.
