unless you have a 2020 86 with the jbl/harman stereo, it's not going to be that easy...

the door speakers are powered from an amplifier in the trunk, under the floor mat, on the left side of the spare tire. that amplifier makes the door speakers work only as low frequency subwoofers.

there's a 3" speaker and a tweeter in the dashboard that make up the difference of the rest of the audio signal.


you'll likely need one of these adapters to bypass the amplifier by plugging this into the wire harness that plugs into the amplifier:

for a much cheaper option, you can purchase one of these harnesses and connect the wires yourself in the right order to make the same harness toyota sells for way too much. basically need to de-pin center 2 pins, then split each side to 4 pin groups, and connect to the identical pin position on the other side (top left goes to top left, top right goes to top right, etc)
