It happens once every 2-3 drives, and more often when the car is cold. It feels like something got stuck inside the shifter linkage. Any idea on that? Thanks!
The previous owner may have messed with the lockout plate. When i dropped my trans for a clutch change and put everything back in somewhat a hurry. I couldnt get into my 2nd gear at all. I adjusted my lockout plate a little and it shifts fine now. Might be the case for your car too also its a easy to check. You just pull the trim and theres 4 bolts/screws/nuts/iforget that holds the lockout plate.

And our car’s transmissions hate it when its cold.
