Yeap, helmets save lives, we have always needed to wear helmets here in AU, well ever since I got my license in 1980 anyway.

I feel it's the rebel without a clue bunch that advocate not wearing a helmet, because they are to cool, or it will mess up their perm...

I've "used" my helmet in a few offs over the years, if I wasn't wearing I would be either dumber than what I currently am....yes it is possible, or dead.

I am also a advocate for full face helmets, I worked in a few hospitals years ago, and seen what gutters, gravel and other hard grindy objects do the soft flesh and bones of the face.

I'm not a saint though, I do occasionally only wear a t shirt and jeans to cover my body, I do always wear gloves, boots, or purpose built riding shoes.

My latest set of casual riding shoes are Dainese Street Biker.
