For a diff flush due to contamination, it is recommended to drive around for 1/2 hour (heat up oil), drain and refill, then drive around for 1 to 2 hours, then drain and refill.

That's good enough till you get to your next service interval, or, your car gets swamped again.

I'm doing the M80 w/ 3.91 in my new old car tomorrow, hopefully it's just a drain and refill job. The only gear oil I have is $32 a litre, I need 1.6 litres to fill, it would burn me to throw $52 worth of oil after only 2 hours use.
