OK, I'm ready to go out into "the zone" and be around the natives.

NO, that isn't a medical piece of equipment that I'm keeping from medical people.

It's a AO with two combination cartridges one on each side.

Yep, when I found it in the basement, along with a couple of atropine injectors. I only had to use one of those once in civilian life.

With the old filters in place, I dawned the mask and took a deep breath. Ahhhh, yes, the smell of organophosphate insecticides first thing in the morning brought back old memories.

Luckily, I also found a full box of new, sealed cartridges, so I switched them out.

The question is, should I wear this mask out to the grocery store and freak everyone out or just leave it home, bow my neck and move forward, like I did most of the time spraying insecticides.

Before you jump on my case about not wearing a mask all the time while spraying experimental insecticides, tell me how many hours you have spent in a freshly, ditch irrigated, cotton field in Yuma, Arizona on a hot, sunny, July day with 105 degree F temperatures.
