Completely serious, but my comment was in relation to these posts, which I probably should have quoted:

But no, instead they are going "bugger them - we can sell more 86's than we can make, so let's nail the customer's nuts to the floor and squeeze even the contracted buyers for all they are worth".

Sure, people will still buy the 86, but instead of it being a good experience, they'll be hoping to never have anything to do with Toyota ever again.

Spectacularly short sighted of Toyota - this car has given them a shot at a whole new group of first time Toyota buyers, and instead Toyota are working hard to alienate their new-found customers.

I'll still buy GTS that is on order, when it eventually turns up, and I'll be wishing I had ordered the BRZ.

It is not so much the issue of missing a spare wheel - but for those who think that we're making mountains out of mole hill - do consider those that use the car as a daily and a spare wheel is an absolute must for them.
Now although I don't buy into the marketing hype, I do hope it works for Toyota. Once people receive their cars and can buy a spare for a few hundred dollars should they feel the need, I doubt this issue will have a bearing either way though.
