This may be a dumb one but how much is the master cylinder brace actually needed? I don't recall ever hearing about them in other vehicles I've owned but suddenly with the 86 it seems like anyone who goes with stainless lines also gets a master cylinder brace.
Is the OEM setup really that flimsy? Does it really increase pedal feel that much? I don't suppose there's any side-by-side video showing the comparison? Has anyone had the master cylinder bend/break off without reinforcement?
