That looks like either a mounting issue, or the specific tire.

Either way get a different tire. 245/40r17 is already perfect size for that wheel.
You live in Florida so zero point in an all season. Get a summer tire, either Indy 500 for a budget builder, or MPS4S for max performance. Should resolve your gap issue and increase your grip and performance.
