I’m considering myself lucky and do well enough for myself, but the BRZ is about the most car I can afford. I have no interest whatsoever in cars that are 50k+, cause I know I’ll never be able to afford them. if that makes me a shitty car enthusiast, oh well, my generation is supposed to kill car culture anyway.

You have to get the right degree and know the right people. Or you have to start a business and be smart enough and hardworking enough to make it work. You can luck into a good union job. Otherwise you're gonna struggle.
