Welp, OK, learning how to study.
I went through 4 years of undergraduate school before I "learned how to study" when I started taking graduate courses.
The secret (for me) was to learn how to "read the professor". Where was his/her passion for the subject - study that part of his/her lectures for the first test.
For the rest of the tests, in addition to the first hint, analyze where the instructor is getting the majority of the questions for the tests (lecture, reference materials, lab, or text books) and focus on that area.
If that fails, during the test, sit next to an Asian girl - and copy off of her -
