MX5 RF is more expensive, starting above 34k. Where a new 86 is below 28k. Both are with zero options. If you ever have put 4 full size wheels in the back of a twin you can totally appreciate the cargo space which is really good for a small cheap sports car.
I had a NB MX5, space was a joke, 2 small bags was it.

My 86 can fit a huge amount if stuff, 3 good sized bags in the boot and the same in the back seat.

I've had 2 adults and 2 kids plus all the beach and snorkeling gear required for 4 in my 86.

Plus I also have a full sized 17 x 7.5 spare in the boot.
