A fellow 86CUPer just switched from DS1.11 to DTC-60 last weekend. He much preferred the DTC-60s. I have not driven the DS1.11s. Have you driven both?

I think the 2500 is a good dual-purpose beginner pad, but that's about it. It is certainly a compromise, as it is a dual-purpose pad. But it is less compromise than others, IMO.
