Aren’t all 3sgte’s transverse mounted? I’m sure the blocks are the same and would bolt to the longitudinal 6 speed from the 3sge, but maybe the 3sge BEAMS engine is better. The head is better I believe and the higher compression may be more manageable these days, so it may not be a problem, or even advantageous.
If I ever do a swap then this motor is high on the list if I want to keep the car all Toyota.
