So to get the BRZ to GTS spec is about $37150 + 175 + 175 + 1800 + 1500 - $680 (for servicing) = ~$40120. GTS prices have ranged from $39000 - $39850 (website).

A Perspective from the West of the continent:

Subaru HQ must be wearing either some of the dealer delivery or Stamp Duty cost when then can quote $37150 drive away Oz wide. Either that or all you East coast folks are subsidising us in the West.

Stamp duty on the prices quoted above ($38570 purchase price)
would be approx $2135 in WA. NSW/QLD $1157. Yet when I plug the price into BRZ online there is only a $120 diff.

Also be aware the Eclipse AVN827GA 7” Wide QVGA Touch Panel Navigation Display in the BRZ looks pretty superior to the one in the FT86 GTS.
The Eclipse is Running iGO 2.0 Primo Navigation Software, which is easy as to use and also likely hackable. (I have it running on a 7 year old hacked Mio C520)

Cheapest I have seen retail for the Eclipse is $2150 ish, Subaru want it for $1805.

Simply due to the Stamp Duty diff here in the West with the GTS FT86, the Subi BRZ is only $250 more once free servicing is factored in, plus we get the sweet Eclipse Audio/Nav system.
