257F instead of 280 is quite good.
exactly what i expected that to get to.
add to that 25f less heat and a quicker heat to operation temp =its quite a good deal for what it costs,how it be installed,and the most important wont avoid warranty since its pretty easy to remove before going to the dealer.

the thing is :
how did you check it and for how long? in track?how long was each session?how many sessions?
