Again this is the opinion of one Subaru writer and a few techs. It seems plausible but I argue that the cost of new heads may outweigh the time of just replacing the valve springs. Crazier things have happened.

Ya they have to pull the engine either way and that is where the real time will be spent. There are more than one engine type involved so preloading heads would be costly. Don't see swapping heads saving enough time to make the materials costs worth it but stranger things have happened in the mystical automotive realm.
