No. It's not as expensive to get into STX as anyone thinks. You don't need big brakes. You don't need a diff. You don't need race seats. You don't need a battery. You don't need a full exhaust. None of these will make you faster.

SSC all in is about $2700, STX all in can be as little as $4k. Shopping smart used will bring this down a lot. Biggest cost is coilovers and even those can be cheap.
