The point of a ghost cam is to make it sound
like an older motor with an aggressive cam. It doesn't have an aggressive cam. It just sounds like it. Sort of. It's trying to be something it's not.
If you install an unequal length header on your car, it doesn't just sound
like a boxer with an unequal length header. It
is a boxer with an unequal length header. It's not pretending to be something it isn't. It's not posing.
I go back to my brake caliper analogy. Some people put big brakes on their cars just because they like the way they look, yet the brakes will still outperform stock even if they're not really needed for the kind of driving they do. Posers don't bother with big brakes. They just put silly caliper covers on their cars to
look like big brakes. The ghost cam is the auditory equivalent of poser caliper covers from the bling aisle at Pep Boys.
Poser cam!
