I have a Gruppe-S with the heat shield (uncoated), and oil temps stay around 210 degrees F just driving normally. When I do spirited driving on backroads for a little bit though, it’s not hard for it to reach 240 degrees F
If you don’t drive hard too often I’d say you’d be fine without it, but the less heat the better.
