That is exactly why I am in this class. I want to know where I stand and leave my "pond" this year, which is actually a pretty large one.
I agree with everything that is said about completing on leveled ground. But we are lying to ourselves, if we say that this class would not be better if we didn't have to drive on the tire that is basically 10 years old. It's not that hard to read in between the lines that Falken is just trying to squeeze out as much money on this old product as they can before switching tooling to start producing a brand new tire. If this is what it takes to get spec class going in SCCA Solo, then so be it. I am still on board and will have those Falken stickers on my car, but it doesn't mean that I agree with this decision.
