I'm not going to try and defend Nissan here but lets be honest. This is almost every auto manufacturer lately. They all make their money selling boring appliances to non-enthusiasts. The simple act of saying the cars are "sporty" is more important than if they actually are. Look no farther than that "grounded to the ground" drivel that Toyota was putting out about the Camry a few years back. Now they have an 86 they could actually market that way and other than a short drifting ad, they haven't done anything. Heck, that one might have even been a Subaru ad. I don't remember for sure.
