You can definitely do it right and have it be lightweight AND safe.

Also, I think more TT cars should have full cages. The TRD Griffon is a fantastic car but it seriously bothers me that it has minimal safety equipment. No cage, not even a roll bar, and a poorly mounted harness system that wouldn't pass tech at 99% of track events. It's irresponsible for a factory backed build (that many will try to emulate) to have such a half-assed approach to safety.
