At least if it opened at speed, you still might be able to see over it, unlike rear-hinged hoods that would immediately become a blackout window shade . . .
By the way, T, I always thought the '57 was the last pretty Ford, but that black hardtop coupe has changed my mind. I bet you wish you still had it. It's yummy.
