Your edit is correct. They are stoptech slotted. So that said should I be concerned the rotors that I have on there will do the same thing to the new set of pads? As I stated all the pads on there were still at 3/4" life so for that to happen with that much pad life I was really confused. Now if they were mm from the squeakers or down to bare metal I could see what your saying being something to get worried about.
