If narrowed down to the left brake strip you either have developed a dead short someplace or the ballast for those ones is bad.I doubt rewiring the triangle is going to help anything in the left brake strip.
If you still have the stock lights then put them back on and get ahold of the vender or Valenti to see what they have to say.

I was more or less looking for something like this, not necessarily expecting them to actually fix my tail lights if that was the problem. Just something where I could have solid proof the valentis were the issue so I could bring it up with the vendor I purchased from and attempt to get a new pair
Edit: would it be matter if the 3rd break light is wired to the left (not working) side rather than the right (working)
