Update: I changed the coilpack on cylinder 1 and performed vérifications for voltage and resistance on connectors (coilpack side for volt, from ECU to coilpack for resistance). All parameters are within spec. The connector doesnt seem loose, it actually has a clip mechanism and gigling it doesnt seem to trigger any missfires with the engine running. The coilpack we pulled out seems top shape, there are no sings of overheating, it even still had some grease on the pins.
I may start to think its the heat from inside the engine which is triggering this, rather than heat from the engine bay. In the time it sits between track sessions, it could be getting roasted from the inside.
I will report back when I get the 2016 coilpack and compare it to the 2013, to verify if it will fit or not.
