Actually not. The DOT tires available reach their limit around 300 bhp at the moment. The cars you mention definitely do not handle their power well, or even correctly.
Renault, VWAG and Ford have put around 300 bhp (with turbo engines, the torque is actually the relevant number) through the front wherls only. Both Ford and VWAG have now gone awd to get more power down. Renault hadn't increased the power. Honda unwisely retained fwd for their Europe version of the Civic type R which is a handful to drive as a result.
