Fridge temp is preferable. You don't want beer to be too cold. I hate places that pour their draft beer into frozen pint glasses. Makes the beer so extremely cold that it just tastes like ice cold liquid and hides a lot of the actual flavor of the beer itself.
Also, why do you have a carbon monoxide detector in your garage anyway? What's the point?
