Maybe the new 17 tails are sealed since they are LED now and thus a good seal isn't as crucial?
I'm still thinking that the black 3m weatherstripping sealant stuff would be a good idea, what do you think?

you bought another set of OEM gaskets? For the '17? I thought you had bought a set of the ninja gaskets... pretty sure even the '13 OEM gaskets didn't have adhesive all the way around. I felt like the '16 gaskets were thicker than the '13 though. Anyways I definitely recommend using the 3M sealant just to be sure.
