You can get the car very out of shape with just the TCS fully off, why do you need the pedal dance? On track I can maybe understand but the main thing I get from the threads is that it stops the TCS turning back on if the car leaves the ground and disables EBD. Neither of these are necessary on the road so the button hold should be enough IMO.
