Have you installed a short shifter .. ??

Whether you have or not, I reckon your problem is pilot error.

I suggest you "lighten up" on your shifting technique. Firmly pull or push the shift lever into the next gear up or down. The shifter knows how to go ...... it just needs your input on where to go.
