You have many choices:
1. Put time into reading and figuring this stuff out. That would involve carefully reading all of this thread and all of the links in this thread. It's not that hard, but it's not simple. I managed to flash my car several times and also adjust some fueling. It's not rocket science, but it's not stupid easy.
2. Pay somebody to do it for you. They'll probably use ECUTek.
3. Leave the car as is and don't worry about it. It's probably fine. A lot of logging can be done with Torque and a bluetooth reader. No danger in frying your ECU that way.
4. Buy a backup ECU for $50 off ebay. Then play without fear.
