And I'll tell ya what, those guys were amazing at what they did. Some of the coolest production metalworking I have ever seen, but when you went from the muffler/tip/y manufacturer over to the place that build actual exhausts it wasn't so much. Like I mentioned earlier we have got a quote out for 2.5" annealed Ti tubing and we will probably be trying to get some of these designs to market one way or another. In other exotic materials news, we are getting quotes on making all of these headers in 321 stainless. The main difference between 321 and 304 is that the 321 has much better strength of materials properties when at exhaust gas temperatures. May even allow us to run thinner wall thickness for lighter weight. May consider doing the same on the downpipe/overpipe combo as an optional selection. In that application it'd purely be for a weight consideration.
Yeah I've had other exhaust folks look at the Magnaflow Ti and everyone has always been impressed with the work. They only made them for a fairly short amount of time. Mine withstood quite a bit of abuse on the street and offroad as well.

I'm looking for a stock-class catback exhaust and as I understood right now replacing the factory midpipe isn't exactly a weight-saver, but if it was in Ti I'm sure it would at least save a few lbs. In the end the race pipe is going to be lighter than anything else and for larger events I'd end up just using that anyways as opposed to a dual-exit axleback. Now if you made the race pipe in Ti...
