I can comment on Maxxis RC1 and Nittos NT01 as I ran them both last season, on the track only but it should apply to "spirited" driving as people call it. Maxxis RC1 will be on after half a lap, honestly they grip almost immediately. Nittos take maybe 2 laps, usually by the end of the second lap they are warm enough to start pushing, but their peak grip seemed to be by the 12 minute mark, so yeah, they get better and better. I corded the maxxis before heat cycling them, my fastest lap was actually on the session they corded. Nittos seem to be the same, I found they wear faster than the RC1.
