Everything I found about tightening the steering up was talking about getting lesser BMWs up to M3 level, not making the M3 better. The gas mileage did not look that great, but the interior quality and sound system might make up for that. Plus 4 doors could come in handy at times.

I'm not a Mercedes fan, so I can't really speak to that. Finding Carreras dated made me laugh though. To me, the Carrera body style is a very classic design, with slight revisions throughout its history. I know I loved the C4S I borrowed for a week. My ideal daily driver would be a 997/991 4S or TT. I agree that it would be a bit unrealistic to have a 911 and a 458 at the same time.
