Tech made me a relay that delays the unit turning on for about 1s after receiving power. That way the unit is not affected by the ignition cutting the power on startup as happens in the 86.

The circuit also has about a 3s delay for turning off so you can turn car off and then select accessories without the unit turning off and needing to boot up again. It cmbnes the delay start with his delay off circuit he posted about here
