I'm actually kind of shocked Dealership1 didn't claim they couldn't do any of the work from the start due to mods. Thats how Ive always heard and seen dealerships to react. Like someone said in some post here, its their ace in the hole to get out of stuff they don't want to do.
Which kind of spawns a question for anyone here that works at a dealership; If the dealership makes money off the warranteed work why do they try to get out of so much of it? Subaru/Toyota are not going to know if there are modified parts... why would the dealership care? I mean if there is an obvious direct correlation
mod-->damage/breakage then I can see them calling BS on someone. But otherwise why do they care? Its like a guaranteed payment on work. Not like a garage out there that has to fight to get paid sometimes.
