personally, its because people expect x, and dont always get x but get y
x being, traction control off, drift like the reviews because the car is so great
one of the first things i did when it rained was went to a very large empty parking lot, turned everything off and practiced, because the first time i tried to drift the car it spun around on me, y( the thing that happens to most people)
i took the time to figure out how hard it was to get the back end to rotate at 20, 30, 40, and 50 mph
i actually had the hardest time learning control at 20 and 30 mph, in first gear your in the hp and tq range and you dont have momentum to help you stay straight, 20 - 30 mph drifts were better controlled and initiated in 2nd gear
40 and 50 mph is where the magic is and about where you would be on a medium sized corner at a track, 2nd gear about a 3k rpm range to play with, the torsen does a great job there ,and because the torsen works so well, lower speed slides are more unpredictable, both tires break loose and your limits are much easily crossed
the same day i was with a friend he had a rwd car but no limited slip, slower speed drifts were much easier for him because only 1 tire would break loose and the other would drag around at a slower speed(kind how stability control works in dragging the inside tire to correct you) but at higher speeds he just couldnt hold a drift, tires wouldnt stay broken loose or he would spin out( and this inst because of tq, hes got 240 tq to the ground vs my 130 to the ground)
in conclusion what im trying to say, is the rear will snap at you where you want it NOT to happen, at low speeds, through things like traffic lights, round abouts, street corners, and any kind of low speed turn on black top or grooved pavement really, most of these areas put you close to other cars, people, houses, and light poles
Juanito08 already had this happen to him, unless you've had about 50 hours of track time or have owned it longer than 2 years driving spiritedly everyday but aware of the limits, you are NOT going to know what will happen in every situation... just because you drifted one corner around your neighborhood doesnt mean you will at a different but similar corner
PS sorry juan if i put you on blast! ahahah
