While it can happen in some spots around town we don't get as severe flooding like Houston. But stay away from downtown Dallas when it does happen, there can be some surprise flooding on some streets. I came close to a situation last year near Love Field, I had no choice but to go through a couple flooded streets. It was close but any higher she probably would of been a goner. No joke though, but @CO777DAL Ultramarine FR-S floated away in the downtown area this week. He was in the car and had to swim out, thankfully he is ok but the car is done for.

The Plano / Frisco area is a good place to live.
