Easy enough to check. Start your car, but it in Drive, see if you can pull the key out. If have key in your hand, reinsert, drive to dealer, if not, you are done.

No, but to double check, insert key, start car, then take a hammer and beat on it to see if it comes out. If it breaks first, you are good. Then drive to dealer.
