Once I get the new battery in I hope it fixes the problem
on the push button start cars the electrically operated steering lock pin can become jammed if theor is pressure on it from steering wheel and it does not release, car wont start.

on key start it likely mecanicaly operated by turning key so just make sure when you turn key to on position steering lock is released
