Hi! I'm here researching first New car purchase. My current car is my college car an oldsmobile intrigue. 215hp, 230 torque. Quite a beast. I think it's reviewed to having a 7.7 second 0-60 time. Was dirt cheap when I got it.
I am currently looking between 4 cars, the two primary are the BRZ and the mustang v6/eco. The other two are the new mini clubman and the mazda6.
I really really want to want the BRZ. But the torque dip has me concerned. I doubt I'll track it and I don't want to push it's handling limits on public roadways. Last thing I need is to lose the tail in traffic. I like coming up to the speed limit quickly. I think a mustang may fit the bill better. Plus I take a road trip to Michigan once a year in the summer. Usually have 1 or 2 other people with me. Stang has more room and might be more comfortable for what it is.
All that being said, I'm infatuated with the BRZ. Its looks. The whole idea behind it. I just don't think I can exploit it. Or know enough to recognize it's excellence. I have had supposivly very good craft beers and they tasted like crap to me.
