Nope.
The driver is showing his favorite gesture from an old TV show.
This gesture was usually accompanied with the famous catch phrases "BANG! ZOOM! Right to the Moon Alice!" or "One of these days Alice. POW! Right in the kisser".
Domestic abuse was hilarious back then (well the threat was since he never actually did anything).
