Those were definitely classics. Siege is a lot more true to Raven Shield and Athena Sword than any of the other newer iterations. I honestly couldn't stand Vegas 3rd person high intensity gameplay, and prefer the more methodical approach to these type games.
I'd say you need to add your own variance to it. Play as operators you wouldn't expect, run a whole shield team, leave the bomb site and rush the attackers while they're still outside, etc. Even though the main objective stays the same, it gives you free reign to approach it however you want. We've done the standard single access point incursion, and we've also blown 7 walls simultaneously just to give ourselves a unique experience.
But hey, it's not for everyone, good thing there's a fuckton of good games out now.

^Definitely this. Fortunately I have a group of around 12 guys on at any given time, so having a full team with mics is easy. We've even done custom match 5v5s and had a blast just screwing around. If I were just playing solo I'd have dropped it after a day.
