Take it slow for the first few minutes with summers. By that, just drive a few miles so your tyres are a bit stretched and warmed up. I rock summers and I know how easy it is to just go "wee" around a corner especially when it's your first turn.

Edit: I need to add that my traction control/vehicle stability control is usually off.
