This all makes sense that those heat shields can't be Re used but what performance could be sacrificed by presenting a source of heat with a bigger overpipe. From what I have seen there isn't much gains in an overpipe swap, the big win is in the header. Could the be any truth to having best performance with stock overpipe and heat shield with after market header to prevent heat leaching that would be presented from an aftermarket overpipe?
Just asking for discussion and experience here
